💛 When You Feel Like You’re Failing as a Mom

You are currently viewing 💛 When You Feel Like You’re Failing as a Mom

Mama, can we just pause for a second?

If you’re feeling like you’re not doing enough… not patient enough, not fun enough, not spiritual enough — you’re not alone. Every mom hits that wall at some point. That moment when the laundry is piling, the children are melting down, your nerves are fried, and guilt creeps in like an unwelcome guest whispering, “You’re messing this up.”

But here’s the truth:

You are not failing. You are pouring out—and God sees every drop.

The enemy would love for you to sit in shame, but grace tells a different story. Grace says you’re already loved, already chosen, already enough—not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did. You don’t have to “mom” perfectly to be a faithful mom. You just have to keep showing up. That’s victory. That’s faith in action.

When you feel weak, God isn’t disappointed in you—He draws near.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

So take a deep breath. His grace is stronger than your worst day. He’s not asking you to be supermom—He’s asking you to lean on Him.

You’re not failing.
You’re growing.
You’re depending.
You’re loving.
You’re mothering by faith.

And that’s more than enough.

Love and Encouragement,

Eve

That’s such a comforting reminder—does this mean our weakness actually brings us closer to Him?

    1. Evelyn Owens

When we are weak, His strength carries us. Our limitations become the space where His power is made perfect. In Him, weakness is not defeat—it’s the doorway to His Divine strength. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

      Be encouraged!

When we feel weak, it’s comforting to know that God is closer than ever. His presence is our strength and assurance in difficult times. We can find peace in His unwavering love and support. Let’s hold on to the hope that He is always with us. How can we remind ourselves of God’s nearness in our daily lives?

I love these verses, Psalm 145:18 -“The Lord is near to all who call on him” and James 4:8 “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you”. These verses are powerful reminders that God is with us. He promised He won’t leave us nor forsake us. Spend time with His Word, prayers. I love listening to worship songs and I sing with my children 🙂
I love keeping verses visible—on phone, wall, or desk—as I love seeing it around our home.

I pray this video will bless you. I made this to encourage moms too. – https://youtu.be/HbgPO328VV4?si=_zng48w1EooqqOVd

It’s truly uplifting to know that God draws near in our moments of weakness. His presence is a source of strength and comfort when we need it most. We can find peace in His love, knowing He is always by our side. Let’s hold on to this truth and share it with others. How can we better recognize His presence in our daily struggles?

I love this verse – “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
God is Omniscient which is really encouraging to know because He sees us and knows everything about us. We all have struggles and it’s great to know that we can trust Him with everything in our lives. I believe sometimes, we need to be still and really know that He is God because when we know that He is GOD, that changes everything! He is our Saviour, our Father, our Redeemer, our Prince of Peace, our Provider, our Healer, our Strength and our Great Shepherd and if He is our Shepherd, we have everything we need. I hope that helps. Be encouraged!

This is a beautiful reminder of God’s unwavering presence in our lives, especially during our weakest moments. It’s truly comforting to know that He doesn’t turn away but draws closer when we feel inadequate. His love and support are constant, even when we struggle to see it. I wonder, though, how do we often overlook His presence in our daily lives? Do we fail to recognize it because we’re too focused on our problems? It’s inspiring to think that our weakness can actually bring us closer to Him. How can we cultivate a mindset that consistently acknowledges His nearness? What steps can we take to remind ourselves of His presence in the midst of chaos? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hi, I pray this episode of my podcast will encourage you as it will answer some of your questions here – https://youtu.be/pT9jpfVv7jQ?si=__WVFCEbUrDP4tSn. This
I believe sometimes we’re too focused on our problems like what you said and we fail to recognize Him. We can ask Him to open our eyes and reveal Himself to us so we can see Him working in our lives, helping us, strengthening us, healing us, protecting us and providing for us. The Lord is Faithful! Be encouraged!

This message is incredibly uplifting and comforting. It’s reassuring to know that God doesn’t distance Himself when we feel weak; instead, He draws closer. That’s such a powerful reminder of His unwavering love. I think this perspective can truly change how we handle our struggles—it shifts fear into faith. But how do we practically remind ourselves of His presence when life gets overwhelming? What specific actions or habits can help us stay connected to Him in moments of weakness? Also, do you think this applies to everyone, regardless of their circumstances? I’d love to hear your thoughts because this feels like a truth worth sharing and living by.

Hi, I spend time with the Word, because His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. I tried to be still and know He is GOD so prayer is our lifeline so I spend time talking to God in prayer. I answered some questions here too so you can see my answers as well. Lift Jesus up by singing praise and worship, it does help me and I’m sure it will help you too. I believe it applies to all moms who feels overwhelmed by whatever circumstances they have. Be encouraged!

This is such a powerful and comforting message. It’s amazing to think that our weakness doesn’t push God away but actually draws Him closer. I wonder, though, how do we truly *feel* His presence when we’re at our lowest? Sometimes, it’s hard to see beyond the struggle. Do you think there are specific ways we can practice recognizing His nearness in those moments? I’d love to hear more about how others experience this closeness during tough times. How do we hold on to this truth when life feels overwhelming? Let’s encourage each other to lean into His presence, even when it’s hard to see. What’s one thing that reminds you of His closeness when you’re feeling weak?

      Hi Finance,
I know sometimes it’s hard to recognize Him when we’re at our lowest but He sees us, He cares and He knows exactly what we’re going through. Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” We may not feel that He is close but we’re not walking by our feeling, we walk by faith. During tough times, which actually I am at the moment, I turn to His Word, it’s His promises that I’m standing on. It gives me faith to keep believing, courage to keep going, peace when I’m confuse and comfort to let me know that He is near, He’s beside me. I also love listening to praise and worship songs. I love the story of the wall of Jericho where they praised and God did what only He can do. The story of Paul and Silas also inspires me that even though they’re in prison, they still praise God and God set them free and saved the jailor and his household. There’s power in our praise. Keep reading His Word, meditate it, sing His praise and remember all that He has done in your life and you will know that He is near. He said if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. (James 4:8) This is what I do and the Lord encourages me each time I go to Him. He said if we seek, we will find Him if we search Him with all of our hearts.(Jeremiah 29:13) I hope this helps you today. Be encouraged!

PS: I hope my podcast episode will bless your heart. I talked about how we can recognize God in the midst of our struggles.

I’ve often wondered why we sometimes feel so distant from Him when He’s always there. Maybe it’s because we’re too focused on our struggles rather than His presence.
