💛 Mama, He’ll Roll the Stone

Mark 16:1 – “When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so they might go to anoint Jesus’ body.”

You’re doing so much.

Rising early with tired eyes. Making meals. Wiping tears. Correcting little hearts. Wondering if it’s enough, if you’re enough. And sometimes, like those women walking to Jesus’ tomb, you don’t even know how you’ll get through the day—let alone move the heavy things in front of you.

Maybe it’s the stone of exhaustion.
The weight of anxiety.
The burden of doing it all.

And just like them, you might be thinking, “Who will roll the stone away for me?”

You’re Not Called to Move the Stone—Just to Show Up

Those faithful women didn’t have a solution. They simply got up, gathered what they had, and went. They showed up in love. In obedience. In faith.

And when they arrived?
The stone was already rolled away.

Mama, you don’t have to figure it all out. You’re not expected to carry the impossible. Your job is to show up—in the chaos, in the exhaustion, in the “not enough”—and trust that Jesus has already gone before you.

He Does What You Can’t

You can’t change hearts—but He can.
You can’t fix everything—but He’s the healer.
You can’t hold it all together—but He holds you.

Whatever you’re facing today—whether it’s a strong-willed child, a season of burnout, mom guilt that won’t let go, or just the overwhelming weight of all the small things—know this:

Jesus sees you. He goes before you. He is moving the stone.

đź’¬ A Reminder for Your Mama Heart:

You are not alone in this calling.
Your faithfulness matters.
Your presence in your home has power.
And your Savior is still in the business of resurrection and miracles.

He will do what you cannot.
He will move what you cannot.
And He will meet you right there—in the middle of your motherhood.

📝 Pause & Reflect:

  • What feels like a “stone” in your season of motherhood right now?
  • Where do you need to trust Jesus to do what you can’t?
  • How can you show up faithfully—even if you don’t feel strong?

🙏 A Prayer for the Weary Mom:

Jesus, there are so many things I don’t know how to handle. So many weights I feel unqualified to carry. But You go before me. You see what I can’t. You move what I can’t. Help me be faithful today—right here in my motherhood—and trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it. In Your Name Jesus I pray, Amen.

“Looking up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.” — Mark 16:4
